After a number of years of successful exhibitions, the “Nine Above Sea Level” group is disbanding.

After the 2009 exhibition, the “Nine Above Sea Level” members enjoyed a closing meal at Judith Wilson’s, where Kay Nightingale, the alma mater of the group explained that, due to different reasons, “It stopped being fun. All things have to come to an end.”
Michael Philpot, wondered “Do all of us want to ‘hang the guns’ or ‘tip our turps’?”, but the general consensus is that each “Nine Above Sea Level” artist will keep on exhibiting their work separately, while hoping that one day we can get together as a group again, perhaps under a different form.
