Suffolk Open Studios 2006

June 8th, 2006

SOSIt all started in 1991 in East Suffolk when a group of 11 artists with a diversity of creative talents decided to open their doors and invite people to see them at work in their own studios.

This year sees even more new studios open across Suffolk, together with more stablished artists. Over 130 artists will show you their creative process, discuss their motivation and be willing to answer questions. There will be work in progress, as well as finished artwork, some of which may be for sale, though there is no pressure to buy. The wealth of artistic expression to be seen in Suffolk is impressive in style, approach and technique, in an incredible range of materials and in disciplines that extend and celebrate the visual arts.

Visiting studios is FREE and will prove not only a cultural experience, but one that will take you around our beautiful county in high summer and in good company. If you visit Suffolk Open Studios, please help us by telling them you saw this at truecoloursart.com.
