“Nine Above Sea Level” yearly exhibiton at Peter Pears Gallery, the High Street, Aldeburgh, will be open daily from 10am to 5pm, from March 30th to April 4th inclusive, showing prints, paintings, drawings and 3d work by Christine Buttery, Graciela Díaz, Judy Lukacs, Kay Nightingale, Michael Philpot, Norma Pitfield, Tony Richards, Katharine Roney and Judith Wilson.
As usual, these people produce outstanding work. You will not be disappointed!
It all started in 1991 in East Suffolk when a group of 11 artists with a diversity of creative talents decided to open their doors and invite people to see them at work in their own studios.
This year sees even more new studios open across Suffolk, together with more stablished artists. Over 130 artists will show you their creative process, discuss their motivation and be willing to answer questions. There will be work in progress, as well as finished artwork, some of which may be for sale, though there is no pressure to buy. The wealth of artistic expression to be seen in Suffolk is impressive in style, approach and technique, in an incredible range of materials and in disciplines that extend and celebrate the visual arts.
Visiting studios is FREE and will prove not only a cultural experience, but one that will take you around our beautiful county in high summer and in good company. If you visit Suffolk Open Studios, please help us by telling them you saw this at truecoloursart.com.
