Nine Above Sea Level

May 31st, 2006 No comments

9 Above Sea LevelWe have received an invitation to the Private View, but unfortunately, due to other commitments we will not be able to attend. Nevertheless, this is an exhibiton that we must not – and we will not – miss.

The work of this group of Suffolk artists, as we have seen from previous years, is a delight to the eyes. Each one, in their own style and medium, produces artworks that you will want to take home.

A must for your diary.

“Nine Above Sea Level” yearly exhibiton at Peter Pears Gallery, the High Street, Aldeburgh, will be open 10 to 5, from June 1st to 5th inclusive, showing prints, paintings, drawings and 3d work by John Barker, Christine Buttery, Judy Lukacs, Kay Nightingale, Norma Pitfield, Michael Philpot, Tony Richards, Katharine Roney and Judith Wilson

Hue

May 30th, 2006 No comments

A hue refers to the gradation of color within the optical spectrum, or visible spectrum, of light. “Hue” may also refer to a particular color within this spectrum, as defined by its dominant wavelength, or the central tendency of its combined wavelengths. For example, a light wave with a central tendency within 565-590 nm will be yellow.
